Kitchen Extension Design and Installation

This particular property is a 3 storey town house. The ground floor contained an entrance hall, garage, utility and 1 x bedroom with the first floor being used as the main living space and kitchen. This end terrace plot also had the benefit of a large south facing garden to the side of the property.

The Brief – “The customers wanted to explore the option of moving the living space from the first floor to the ground floor so they could enjoy the gardens as part of everyday life. Initially they had looked at moving house but could not find the same space and gardens in a location they were comfortable with.”

The Design – A bespoke side and rear extension was individually designed involving the removal of the external corner of the house, as well as the side and back walls, in order to create an uninterrupted living space.

Technical considerations – New doors were added to the south facing side of the new extension which, when coupled with the Velux style roof lights on the tiled roof, brought cascading light into the new space. The east facing rear elevation was given a glazed roof to brighten the kitchen area.

Happy Customers – The 3D internal visuals and video walkthrough allowed the customer to accurately visualise the final design of their home transformation.
