This Loggia kitchen extension was used to create a large, bright and airy open plan space comprising of a lounge, dining room, utility room, and a brand new fitted kitchen with oak flooring throughout.
The Brief – “To create a large open plan living space for the whole family to enjoy.”
The Design – The orangery/conservatory hybrid ‘Loggia’ was designed with a glass roof to fill the room with daylight, as well as a pelmet detail housing electric lighting to create evening ambience. The Loggia was constructed from powder coated aluminium, in a bespoke colour, and decorative corner posts and cornices were created in a contrasting colour – modern and stylish in design.
Technical considerations – The customer wanted to maximise their view of the garden and blur the boundaries between indoor/outdoor living space. This was achieved by the inclusion of bi-folding doors across the length of the extension which, when coupled with the glass roof and open plan living, made for a bright inviting space. Also, for the extension to appear as a seamless addition to the home, the bricks used for the base were colour matched to the existing property. Crystal Living handled all aspects of this large building project, from the in house builders, electricians, plasterers and kitchen fitters to the architects, designers and project manager.
Happy Customers – The end result has been absolutely spectacular, we love it!
